Our SEQ Operations team is committed to ensuring the safety and ongoing security of our customers, passengers, and the general community. Due to our commitment to safety and on-going improvement of our network, we have a permanent full-time opportunity for a Security Intelligence Analyst to join the Security Intelligence portfolio.

In this busy, data intelligence role, you be trained to manage numerous data feeds across two key databases, be able to cleanse incidents, provide validation through CCTV reviews and processing, provide trends analysis, and be able case management incidents to achieve outcomes.

As a direct report to Team Leader Security Intelligence Unit, you be expected to operate in agile approach to enable Queensland Rail with the required intelligence to manage safety and security incidents on the rail network.

Overview of main responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain strategies to improve staff, customer and community perceptions of personal safety and security.
  • Conduct detailed research and analysis of security incidents related to Queensland Rail employees, customers, assets / infrastructure, and or operations in support of security risk management.
  • Inform intelligence led enforcement operations and tasking through the preparation and delivery of intelligence briefs.
  • Consult with and prepare intelligence assessments, including briefing notes, papers, reports and responses, for Queensland Rail internal stakeholders, government, community groups and or in response to RTI/RFI.

What you will bring to the role

  • Proven experience in maintaining information feeds to produce operational outcomes
  • High level of computer skills and ability to learn database functions
  • High level of attention to detail with following Processes and Procedures
  • Previous experience in data analytics software (Tableau or Power BI) or similar would be an advantage.
