About the Role:

The HSE Advisor at Arnott’s Marleston Factory will be responsible for promoting the health, safety, and well-being of all employees, contractors, and visitors. Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will provide proactive advice on WHS matters and support the implementation of health and safety programs at the site. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence health, safety, and environmental outcomes at Arnott’s Marleston.

What your days looks like:  

  • Health: Lead the early intervention, injury management, and wellbeing programs to minimize the risk of injury or illness and ensure best practice care when incidents occur.
  • Safety: Support and enhance the Safety program by empowering employees to become leaders of safety change, maintaining safety systems, and developing programs to drive safety improvements across the site.
  • Environment: Assist in the execution of the site’s Environmental Management Plan to ensure compliance and sustainability goals are met.
  • HSE Support & Advisory: Management and Maintenance of all HSE systems (inc. Rapid Global, Contractor Management, Chemwatch, Chemical Management, MYOSH Incident Management)
  • Training & Education: Deliver and coordinate HSE training programs to employees at all levels, including safety inductions, emergency procedures, and safe work practices.

The Ingredients for Success:  

  • Tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety (WHS), Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field (Certificate IV or higher).
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a WHS advisory or officer role within a manufacturing, industrial, or similar high-risk environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and influence employees at all levels.
  • Solid understanding of WHS reporting systems and incident management processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and WHS management software.
