Icon Water is responsible for owning and operating Canberra’s network of water and wastewater infrastructure and assets including dams, reservoirs, water and sewerage treatment plants, water and sewerage pumping stations to ensure the delivery of safe drinking water and reliable sewerage services.  About the Graduate Program

We are seeking passionate, capable and engaging engineering graduates who have an interest in the Water industry to join our team. As part of the 2 year program, the graduate will complete 4 x 6 month rotations throughout different areas of Icon Water. The proposed rotations consist of experience in design, asset information services including drawing management, working with principal engineers and learning how to operate the water and wastewater plants. The program supports graduates to utilise their engineering knowledge through gaining practical hands on work experience with trained mentors which provides the foundation for becoming a great engineering professional.

What are we looking for?

The successful applicant will have completed a bachelor degree in Engineering with preference for mechanical, civil or processing engineering. We are looking for applicants who can embrace and use a range of software and technology and have an interest in 3D models or point cloud models. Applicants need to be able to work in a fast paced and changing environment. We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate their passion for the Water industry, can undertake research, write reports and can demonstrate a commitment to safety in the workplace.
